Before i conclude this review of the oppo bdp-103d darbee edition blu-ray disc player, i wanted to point out two additional things about darbee visual presence that may provide further perspective. the 4k issue. with regards to darbee visual presence technology, it must be noted that, as of this time, it does not work with native 4k video signals.. Darbee! now this is a game changer. you can buy a stand alone darbee unit (5000 series) for about $300. with the oppo 103 br player and an extra $100 you can purchase the oppo 103d (d- the darbee is built into the br player). look at the unit in practice.. I have both the oppo 203 and the 103d. i much prefer the oppo 103d when playing back blu ray movies as the darbee effect adds more depth to the image. you can easily see the difference when toggling darbee off and on with the remote. for hdr10 and dv i use the oppo 203. imo the 103d out performs the 203 with blu ray movies when darbee is engaged..
