I have an msn email account and am having the same problem. before the last update, the droid kept erasing my email accounts (both my msn and my work email through exchange). since the update, they no longer get erased, but i get incessant "force close" prompts and the msn email fails to load most of the time.. I just want to thank jawx for figuring out the problem with cox email and the droid x jawx is right on with the cure. i tried it exactly like. I have motorola droid device 12 days and am seeing two problems. (1) on my optonline email account, mail deletes itself once i read it. it does not delete from the server when i access it from my computer..
I have had constant problems with the droid email. plus a host of other issues. i ma on my 4th new droid in 4 months. i have an imap type email account (my email remains on the server and i can get record of any email and any response from almost any computer. problem is: keeps crashing. after around 10 days use, the thing crashes.. I have aol set as my primary email account. every day, there are groups of emails that never make it to my droid x. i can see the emails in my inbox when i sit at my pc, but the mail never shows up on my handheld.. Available today, the motorola droid x on verizon for $200 after rebates. the droid x is the latest module in a curious outgrowth of smartphone evolution..
