The 'trim" is usually what helps the boat plane up out of the water. you want the trim all the way down when starting up, then as you pick up speed, gradually bring the trim up to help push the boat forward and plane out..
Re: my boat wont plane out and reach rpms if you have a spun hub, take it to a prop shop to repair. you need a spare anyway, so you might as well take a new one along with you to the lake and enjoy the day if this is your problem.. I have no problem planing out when the boat is not loaded heavily, but when i reach the maximum load capicity it takes way to long to plane out. if i exceed the weight capacity, it won't plane out at all.. The boat is in great shape and has a 115 hp mercury that checks out great and has good compression. i took it out for the first time today and had big problems. first problem is when i would drop the hammer the front would come up and never plane out..
